From a microscopic perspective, the interior of silicone fireproof sealant exhibits a network-like cross-linked structure. The silicone molecular chains are connected through chemical bonds to form a three-dimensional network, within which a large number of inorganic particles are embedded. When exposed to high temperatures, the network structure begins to decompose, but the inorganic fillers will absorb heat and undergo phase changes. For example, aluminum hydroxide decomposes into aluminum oxide and water vapor, and the release of water vapor helps to lower the local temperature. The formed aluminum oxide residue adheres to the network framework, providing temporary support and delaying the collapse of the structure.
Physical properties - The hardness (Shore A) is approximately 38, the tensile strength reaches 3 MPa, and it has excellent weather resistance, vibration resistance and moisture-proof properties.
Restriction:In completely sealed areas, the silicone cannot be cured by itself. It needs to be cured by the moisture in the air.
Typical application scenario:Sealing of holes in walls or floors through which cables or pipes pass
Usage instructions: The single-component silicone adhesive can be used immediately upon taking it out. It can be easily dispensed from the bottle using a caulking gun.
